I was feeling quite upset, after reading Serene's post about some slut, and this made me feel special.

I arrive at Crowne Plaza for our fashion shoot. The guys were there already, and Kyle was standing in the front door like a kid waiting for a surprise.

I went in with my luggage of clothes for them. As soon as I opened them, Kyle went sifting through them, setting aside the items that fit his style.

I discreetly brought the TC5 Morbie boxes out but hid them first to present to them as a surprise later on, after the shoot. But Kyle sees them and asks curiously, "What's that?"

"Nothing," I said. "You'll find out later."

With a mischievous grin, he goes to the boxes and opens them one by one. "What are these? Who made them?"

"Those are your Morbie Doll versions, Kyle," I said. "My friend, Iskra Orendain, made them. You can find her on Multiply and Facebook."

Kyle slowly took out his doll and gave it to me.

"What does he do?" He asked.

"He just preserves that smile and dimple you're known for, aside from wearing the same cool skinny suit and skinny white belt your fans know you to wear."

He laughs that childish laugh. "Oh. Haha. That is awesome!"

While I was taking the photo, the rest of the band was watching and laughing at Ben, especially when he lovingly placed the Fedora on his Morbie version's head. "That's so you, man!" Kyle said. What a laugh trip.

Ethan's coolness translated to his equally-cool and fasyon Morbie version.

Even if he already had short hair by the time he met his Morbie version, Joe thought it cool nonetheless that Ish captured the way Joe's hair would cover half of his face whenever he played the guitar way back when. (And check out his shirt. He proudly told me, "This is an original Help! Beatles short movie shirt, Kai." Miss you, man!)

HAHAHAHAH GUESE!

You all guessed it. I am so sad to say Kyle has left to become a movie star he will be starring in "Taking 15 Baqarah's" the follow up to "Taking 5". "15" is the story of a Pakistani boy band 15 Jangli Baqarah's or 15 Wild Goats who get kidnapped by Pakistani war lords in the war torn province of Kashmir over their inability to sing. The story goes on where the band eventually gets "stockholm syndrome" for their captors and decides to join them in their quest to free Kashmir. I don't want to give to much away but it is a great geo-political thriller with underlying "teen movie" overtones, look for it on DVD sometime in 2012.
Other than that all I can say is The Click Five will go on with our good friend Frank Ciampi as the new frontman. Don't worry we will be back stronger and better than ever. Hope everyone is enjoying the dog days of summer as much as I am and you all will be hearing from us soon.

Let's just say that it is a breath of fresh air a year on to have a band member who can ACTUALLY sing not just with auto tune and studio trickery, ACTUALLY play guitar not use one as a stage prop it would have been better to use a broom in the past, ACTUALLY write songs about feeling and the common experience instead of some dark weird synthetic world that no one cares about, and ACTUALLY be a decent caring human being who cares about the feelings of others, humanity, and most importantly his fans, not his own selfish endeavors. Kyle's going nowhere.

Thursday, June 5, 2008: "My eyes, lungs, and mind filled with the absolutely best, most perfect tour experience of my entire life!!"

Of course I am talking about none other than my experience in Singapore. I've been touring for over 2 years now and out of all every city across the world, every show I've designed light for, all of the people I've met, and believe me there have been a lot... Singapore is hands down the greatest and best out of them all. There is no question about it. It is paradise ...period! The hotel we stayed at had a pool on the rooftop over looking the whole city with a little bar right by poolside. The city itself is a natural work of art. Everything is perfect. From the trees being like something out of a painting to the streets being completely free of trash, to the friendliness of ALL of the taxi drivers, Singapore is incredible. On my day off I went to a place called "Little India" which is literally what it sounds like. A little slice of India right in the middle of Singapore. I had some Indian food, did some site seeing, and smelled all of the B.O. of many of the people selling stuff on the streets. It was all a great experience. There was even this one guy who started talking to us and telling us about this shop that he owned down the street. He wouldn't leave us alone! So we felt bad and went with him. We actually thought we were going to die because he led us down this odd street, through some shopping building that smelled like incense and bad B.O. But we went into his store and he introduced us to the people there working for him. They tried to sell us silk and suits and batteries. We said...ummm...NO THANKS!! And left that place. We then went to this store across the street from it which has these works of Indian art of people and "Gods". The cool thing about each piece is that no matter where you walked in the store their eyes AND faces followed you. It completely freaked the hell out of me. But I almost bought one. ALMOST! After our Little India adventures, we went to this area called Orchard Street where there were literally hundreds of shopping stores and malls and a whole bunch of people. It was like LA meets Miami meets the mall of America. I bought this squishy tomato thing that is solid when you hold it, but when you smash it on the ground it splatters only to reform again. Aaaaah yes...the simple pleasures of life. The next day we had a sold out show at the Indoor Arena. It was hands down the best show of the entire tour. The guys received plaques because their album went gold there!! The crew there were on top of their stuff and were a complete pleasure to work with from start to finish. Everyone, from the band to the crew nailed the show and hit a home run. The band also invited myslef and the rest of the crew on stage for a group photo in front of everyone. The photo came out so cool! They introduced all by name and we all got our own little cheer which I got a kick out of, but to be honest I was little nervous being on stage in front of so many people. After the show, we all went out to a restaurant that was outside, under a perfect sky filled with stars in a rain forest. There were waterfalls all around us, palm trees, ponds with fish, and perfect accent lighting ;) on all of the trees. I had this incredible sushi platter with all kinds of FISH. It the most perfect dinner I've ever had in my life. Singapore was the experience of a lifetime and it will always mean a lot to me. I think I'll always be comparing anywhere I go to it.

How is everyone?

Our tour in Southeast Asia, Australia, and Japan was wonderful. We had amazing crowds, and loved every minute of it. We'll be back in Malaysia for the MTV Asia Awards too! Can't wait for that.

We've come a long way since I joined the band a year and a half ago, and we are excited to continue building.

News:
It's great to be back in Boston now, and the band is in full creative process. The new record is beginning this summer, and I'm very excited to see what we come up with. We're trying to write songs that mean something to the whole world, and progress us as a band. It's beginning.

I'll also be traveling in September to play songs i've written over the past few years in select cities in the US. It will begin in the Northeast and i'll head down the East coast towards my hometown in Georgia, then back north towards Chicago and St. Louis. Can't wait for this and I hope you will enjoy the music.

The Click Five: We're Addicted To Them!

Sometime in 2005, a quintet of gorgeous pretty boys exploded onto the pop music scene, heralding their arrival with Greetings From Imrie House. Now, if you don't know by now who I'm talking about, where have you been? It's The Click Five, of course!

Seranading us with a load of radio-friendly tunes like "Just The Girl," "Good Day" and "Pop Princess," legions of teenage girls (and boys) have since then sought to "Catch [Their] Wave."

Two years later, the delectable boys are back with a new album, Modern Minds And Pastimes, and a new lead singer, Kyle Patrick taking over on vocals. The group has yet again produced a gem of an album, chock-full of addictive pop-rock, with a more edgier and powerful sound. A slew of #1 hit singles quickly followed, cementing The Click Five as the reigning pop princes and more!

MTV Asia caught a quick moment with Kyle and Ben en route to a music show in Boston, hence fears of parallel-parking and traffic woes abound. Otherwise, the boys remain safe and happy to talk about their peculiar habits (you can be sure, they really are peculiar), living in the basement, schizophrenia, and wheelchair races.

MTV Asia: So what have you guys been up to lately, now that the Modern Minds And Great Times Tour has been wrapped up?
Kyle: Writing songs! Every single day.

MTV Asia: That's great news for all your fans! So when can we expect the new album to be out then?
Kyle: When it's ready! [Laughs] This is one of the first times we've had a completely clean slate to begin and all. But I think I'd go with early next year.

MTV Asia: How different is it going to be from the previous one?
Kyle: I think any band can hope to progress musically from record to record, and hope to get better. I think the fact that we've been playing together for a while now, almost two years, has helped make us a stronger group of guys, musically. We're probably going to try to beat the previous record, and just be the best that we can be.

MTV Asia: How has the Asian Tour experience been like, especially for you, Kyle, being the first time you're headlining a major tour with the rest of the band?
Kyle: Yeah it's been pretty much like a whirlwind. I've gotten that question before and I never really know how to answer it because it's really hard to be prepared for a tour like that, to be thrown into that scenario, you know what I mean? But aside from that, everybody just gets up on stage and plays the music that we love. I think touring is one of our favorite times, especially in Asia, where things have taken off for us. Every time we go over there, it just seems to be a really really good experience.
Ben: And just to add on to that, I think what's really crucial is that as we play our music back and forth, we really find out what works and what does not, for the band, musically.

MTV Asia: You've recently just concluded a tour in Asia, and now you're going to be back with us again at the MTV Asia Awards (MAAs). Do you really miss us that much?
Kyle: [Laughs] We love you guys! We have such a great time in Asia. I think the guys have actually been to Malaysia a couple of times, before I joined the band. So yeah, we miss you, and we're really excited to be performing again. Or just to even be involved in the show, we're extremely happy to be doing it.

MTV Asia: The theme for this year's MAAs revolves around the letter 'M'. What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of 'M'?
Kyle: Ermmm... Musical, Magic, Monkey? [Laughs]
Ben: Emmmm... TV! Mmmmm... Melons! Mmmmmmm... Motorcycle! Mmmmmm... Milk! Mmmmm... Moooooo!

MTV Asia: Living together and touring together, what are some of the weirdest or peculiar habits of some of the members?
Ben: Oh there's plenty of those! Kyle?
Kyle: I travel to outer space everytime before the show. I travel to a place that's deep inside my head, that catapults my legs above my head, my arms go above the surface of the earth, and I sit around the core until it turns into a milky centre then I make a baby!

MTV Asia: Wha... WHAT?
Ben: It's really a sight to see.

MTV Asia: Is that like sort of your pre-show ritual?
Kyle: A form of that yes. It varies!

MTV Asia: Ermm... Moving on, I'm sure a lot of fans who've caught the Behind The Band video are really curious to know: Kyle, are you still living in the basement near the generator, and has your vocals improved at all as recommended by Ben?
Kyle: Yes, to both questions! My vocals have gotten a lot stronger over the past two years, and it's largely in part because of the mold and fumes from the generator, yes.

MTV Asia: Don't you foresee yourself ever upgrading to the upper levels of the house?
Kyle: I'm not going to push my luck, you know? I think I belong down there and it's my home. I'm not too hopeful, and I do kind of like the basement.

MTV Asia: Hey Ben, did you hear that!
Ben: Uhm... Yeah. But like I said, I think it's a healthy diet of mold and fumes! And you know, if it can help Kyle to sing great...

MTV Asia: Since we're on the subject anyway, Ben, why a name like Austin St Claire for your alter ego?
Ben: Why not? Everyday I wake up, I look into the mirror, and I think "What's it gonna be today?"
Kyle: Well here's the thing about Ben. Pretty much every week, he's a completely different person. Austin St Claire is just one of many personas that Ben Romans can portray.
Ben: I like to take on characters. I can't do movies, but when I'm not on stage, I like to entertain everyone with my hobby. Most recently, it's Bobby Renzel, the lounge singer.

MTV Asia: So you never know who you might be?
Ben: Yup. You never know.

MTV Asia: So who are you right now? Can I even call you Ben?
Ben: Right now, I'm Desmond, I have glasses on and a baseball cap...

MTV Asia: I guess you guys had fun making the Behind The Band video. Ever considered a change in career?
Ben: You know, as much fun as that stuff is, and I think it's great, we spend most of our time in music and I think music's always going to be a priority.

[At this point, Ben announces his worries about parallel-parking but assures us that he's going to be okay...]

MTV Asia: If the day comes where your music evolves so much that it doesn't match up to the band name at all, will you change it, and if so, to what?
Ben: I think a lot of bands evolve over the years musically, that's for sure, but they're still essentially the same band. So yeah, I think we're going to stick with it. It's just like say, a guy named Bob. After awhile, you'll go, "Hey, it's Bob, but he's grown up." But he's still Bob. But you never know. One day we might be called Bobby Renzel And The Band. Who knows what? Kyle, what would it be named?
Kyle: Lake Tahoe.

MTV Asia: Why Lake Tahoe?
Kyle: I don't know. I think it's got a nice reflection to the sound, as far as band names ever go.

MTV Asia: When you were a kid, did you ever think this is where you'd be in future?
Kyle: Definitely, because I think for everyone in the band, from a young age has been performing and playing music. So I think all of us have been serious about a career in the music industry for a long time. I think we all had aspirations for that from a very young age. We've very happy to be touring the world, and making a living out of it. So we're just glad to be writing the best songs that we can and putting it out. Songs that means something to a lot of people, and is widely accessible to them. And we're super psyched to be doing it.

MTV Asia: How do you think you've changed both as an individual and as a group, from the time you were a virtual unknown, to the superband that you are now?
Ben: I think a lot of it has been about learning from one another, and learning as a band. Okay... I don't really know. Kyle, what would you say?

Kyle: We don't even think of ourselves as a superband or that we're famous even, by any means. I think we get better musically. We work better together after a certain amount of time, and we become stronger performers. We know what we do best and we shoot for that. Knowing that, makes us individually stronger as well. You get to know yourself a lot better once you travel around the world, and perform for thousands of people. It makes you a different and better person. Especially when it comes to communicating with others, in general. Where English may not be the first language, it makes you do certain things to communicate with people and I think that translates a lot to our music, because melody and music is the universal language for people all across the world. So when we can do something that translate to someone in Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, that means something to someone, that's a big deal.

Ben: My favourite place is this place called the Clinic Bar. At Clarke Quay. They have all those really cool wheelchairs all over the place, you know? And the next thing I know, Kyle, Ethan and Joey's just taking off and they made it outside, and went all the way to the street. And it's just unbelievable! They kept doing it until Ethan got his wheelchair taken away from him! And just so you know, they kept pushing me around and I'm doing crazy tricks, showing off for bystanders. The Five Clicked Not
The Click Five members may be cute but they failed to connect with the audience at their recent concert. But, as HALIM SAID observed, this hardly mattered to their adoring fans.

Teenage girls at The Click Five's recent concert at the Genting Highlands screamed their lungs out, chanting the band's name like there was no tomorrow.
Well, the boys have the charm and looks to warrant this adulation.
The American band comprising Kyle Patrick (singer/guitarist), Joe Guese (lead guitarist), Ethan Mentzer (bassist), Ben Romans (keyboardist) and Joey Zehr (drummer) rocked the house with their power pop tunes and electric alternative rock vibes.
The concert final gig for it's Modern Minds and Great Times-World Tour 2008, has been much awaited by the 3000-odd fans who compromised mostly girls.
The boys, who studied at the prestigious Boston Berklee College of Music in the united states, delivered 17 songs at the concert, including Happy Birthday, Summertime, Empty, Good Day, Addicted and All I need is you.
The concert began with the boys belting out their new single Flipside.
Called me a schmuck if you must, but the first 15-minutes of the show did not impress me.
Certainly, the organizers did their job in placing huge speakers and bright neon spotlights on the stage, complete with smokescreens and all. However, judging from their somber interaction with the fans, it was obvious the boys need to work on their interpersonal skills on the stage.
It was awfully disappointing when Patrick's vocals were drowned out by the music that had him almost croaking during the early part of the performance.
Still, the fans were dazzled by the acoustic deliverance of Don't Let Me Go, I'm Getting Over You and There You Are.
The audience was captivated with Ethan riffs on his bass guitar and the raw sound of Patrick's vocal in Don't Let Me Go.
The acoustic session was breathtaking for me as the biys were splendid in their performance.
Their three rock ballads would easily mend any broken heart.
The audience were pumped up again when the band performed the songs Long Way To Go, Pump It Up, Just The Girl and When I'm Gone.
In Pump It Up, each member did a solo instrumental performance.
The "break" before the encore seemed too long though, leaving the audience and yours truly to think that the show was over.
Then Romans suddenly popped out from the back stage and this was followed by screams from their fans.
For the encore, the boys played their popular tune Jenny, Catch the Wave.

kyle and joey were sick, and considering theyve been singing so much for the past month, this guy should just get a life and stop being jealous of them.
ANYONE would kill to go there ok.

A flaming sunset lit up the city of Boston, flooding the sky with reds and oranges. Countless trees, whose leaves were perfectly colored to match the setting sun, whispered gently in the November breeze. Children laughed and screamed as they raced each other through the parks, and loving couples linked hands underneath the ardent sky.

In his apartment overlooking the city skyline, however, the thoughts of Eric Dill were focused far away from Boston. Sitting on his bed and clutching the neck of his acoustic guitar, Eric bit his lips as he tried to remember the next verse of his song.

"And the lights are bright in Hollywood; they shine out somewhere, but not right here .."

His fingers slipped as he tried to play the chords and, frustrated, he stood up and tossed the guitar on the bed. A soft laugh from behind him, however, startled him into looking back.

"Not even out of Boston yet, and you're already singing about Los Angeles angst?" Joey Zehr was leaning casually against the door of the bathroom, a slight smile tugging at one corner of his mouth.

Eric's breath caught. "How'd you get in here?"

"I used the door," Joey couldn't help but roll his eyes as he settled comfortably on the bed. "Eric, if you're going to live in Hollywood, you might want to be a little more careful about security." His tone was light and teasing, but it held a hint of something else, something less debonair.

"Do I sense a little protectiveness coming from Joey Zehr?" Eric smiled faintly, pushing his guitar out of the way and sitting down across from his bandmate.

A scoff. "You know, if it weren't for me, you'd probably have been kidnapped by some girls in Singapore months ago. I'm the reason you're not stuck in some Asian brothel right now." And Eric couldn't help but laugh.

"Seriously, though," Joey hesitated, glancing away from Eric and looking out the window at the darkening sky instead, "I wish you'd reconsider. There's so much more you can do with the band .."

"There isn't really." Eric shrugged, trying to keep his voice casual. "The other guys aren't quite as unwilling to let me leave as you are. I bet Ben's already got ten new songs in the works."

"Fuck Ben!" Eric looked up with eyebrows raised, but Joey just glared at a spot on the wall, eyes flashing. "He's just as much of a drama queen as he claims you are, and ever since you broke the news last week he's been taking charge of the band like it's his. All these years and he's never bothered to really get to know you, never .."

Eric opened his mouth to respond, but his reply was cut short by a bruising, demanding kiss from the drummer. Caught off-guard, he couldn't help but moan into Joey's mouth, who responded by deepening the kiss and tangling strong, lean fingers into Eric's hair. Their tongues fought for dominance, Eric's hands traveling down Joey's back and underneath his shirt. As the singer explored his lover's familiar muscles and smooth skin with his fingers, Joey drew his lips away from Eric's own and instead brushed butterfly kisses to the corners of Eric's eyes, his cheeks, his jawline. He kissed a trail down to Eric's neck, where he sucked and bit hard enough to make Eric gasp.

"Stop," Eric murmured, pausing his hands' movements and pulling slightly away from Joey. The drummer looked so delicious, with swollen red lips and his shirt riding halfway up his chest, that Eric almost forgot how to breathe. He forced himself to inhale, then exhale. "You know it's going to be that much harder to say goodbye .. after this."

Joey's eyes fluttered shut for a moment, his dark eyelashes dusting against his cheekbones. When he opened them again, he was smiling again, albeit sadly. "It'll feel like my heart's being ripped out either way," he placed a kiss on Eric's forehead, "I might as well have one last night to remember it by."

"Joey Zehr, the poet." Eric smirked, pulling Joey down for another kiss - gentle this time, short and sweet. "Promise me that when I leave, you'll find some gorgeous new lead singer to drown your sorrows in."

"Never, sweetheart." Joey traced the contours of Eric's lips with his tongue. "It'll always be you."

Italy meeting.
Trish, Dwi and Grace didnt come.discussed and soent the rest of the time talking about TC5, mingyi thinks Ben is hot.hahaha
Then went to ulu Tampines to get my hw from Sarahh who looks fierce in her new specs and then rushed off to parkway library to do hw and at paya lebar met a loon scgirl:D
tried to do hw when we met yiting!and her friend(ziwei i think) who looked like that qian duoduo from shouzu.hahaha.and ate chu noodle and went for inter which i obviously slacked in and dinner with Sarah and Janeen.
talked about the five fierce people and went home.
Sunday was kinda fun but tiring.
i got 10 CIP hours manzxzxxz.
woke up at frickin 430 and cabbed and met ethel.

today was fierceeee.
met the shattered skyliner(s).
and felt quite extra being the only music retard there, and their band shit is some serious band shit.
The band consists of a nice guy, a kinda bossy used-to-be-mean-to-huijun-but-now-hes-okay guy, and a himbo!hahaha
wasted like 1 hour trying to cover some (bleah)my chem song and then some saosin song (seven years i think)which was pretty good at for the last 15 minutes they did jenny which i thought was like not bad.
sdg was a waste of time manzxzx.shouldnt have rushed off.
i wanna play smt.
and omg, i look like a guitarist *boogie*
their cover which was not bad(nothing beats kyles voice)but the sound quality is really bad.
